Description

Cisco Aironet 1300 Series Outdoor Access Point/Bridge, 1310 with RP-TNC Type Connector

Quick Facts

  • Operate three ways: as an access point, a wireless bridge, and a workgroup bridge.
  • Provide 2.4-GHz operation between multiple fixed or mobile networks.
  • Use in point-to-point and multipoint networks.

  •

    Further Details

  • Support both 802.11g and 802.11b devices.
  • Send data at a speedy 54 Mbps.
  • Designed for indoor and outdoor use, especially in harsh environments.

    The flexible wireless solution.
Cisco Aironet 1300 Series Access Point/Bridges give you a multitude of networking possibilities. They provide high-speed, cost-effective 2.4-GHz building-to-building wireless connectivity in point-to-point networks or in multipoint bridging configurations.

    Standard operation.
The 1300 Series is 802.11g compliant and backward compatible with 802.11b equipment, which means you can upgrade part of your network to 802.11g and still use your existing 802.11b equipment. It doesn’t require a license either.

    Configure three ways.
Configure your system three ways: access point, wireless bridge, or workgroup bridge.

As an access point, use it to support remote workgroup bridges and local wireless devices.

In wireless bridge configurations, you can connect two remote networks, or connect a main LAN network to multiple remote, temporary, or mobile networks.

When used as a workgroup bridge, it provides a wireless connection for remote wired devices to an access point or a bridge.

Neither rain, nor sleet, nor snow...
This system is built for use indoors and outdoors. It’s particularly well-suited to harsh environments because it withstands humidity, extended temperature ranges, and extreme weather conditions. It does not require an Ingress Protection (IP) or NEMA enclosure.

    Simplified management.
Easily integrate the 1300 Series with your wired network via the Cisco Structured Wireless Area Network (SWAN). Manage it through Cisco IOS® software, SNMP, or a Web-based browser.

    Top security.
The Cisco Wireless Security Suite provides robust wireless security services that closely parallel the security available in a wired LAN. It also provides advanced features such as Fast Secure Layer 2 Roaming, QoS, and VLANs.

    A multitude of uses.
Ideal for building wide-area and metropolitan networks. Use it in:
    • Campus networks for businesses, education, and health care.
    • Mobile networks for public transportation, public safety, and governments.
    • Outdoor public access in hotels, airports, city blocks, and town centers.
    • Temporary networks such as short-term office leases, temporary buildings, tent sales, etc.

    Choose from two models.
The model with the integrated antenna (AIR-BR1310G-A-K9) features a radio and high-gain patch antenna that supports point-to-point links or nonroot nodes of point-to-point networks.

The model with RP-TNC Type Connector (AIR-BR1310G-A-K9-R) is for use with omnidirectional, sector, or high-gain dish antennas.

The roofmount kit (AIR-ACCRMK1300=) can be used for mounting either access point/bridge outdoors. The wallmount kit (AIR-ACCWAMK1300=) is for indoor use only. Both kits are sold separatelyTechnical Specifications for Cisco Aironet 1300 Series Outdoor Access Point/Bridges:
